Kallista adds 180MW French

Kallista Energy has acquired 180MW of renewables capacity in France and Germany from the DIF Infra Yield 1 infrastructure fund.

The acquisition comprises 15 wind and solar farms, from the fund that is managed by DIF Capital Partners.

The acquired portfolio includes five operational wind parks and three solar parks (90.2MW) in France, which add to the existing portfolio of 20 wind farms already operated by the group.

Along with the seven operational wind parks in Germany (89.5MW), the deal expands Kallista Energy’s entry into the European solar market and also the German wind market.

With the new acquisition, Kallista’s portfolio of installed project increases to 425MW, spanning 36 wind and solar farms in France, the Netherlands and Germany.

In addition, in the Netherlands, Kallista Energy recently acquired a 40% stake in the Krammer wind farm, a 102MW onshore wind farm, and is preparing to commission the 32MW Oostflakkee wind farm.

Kallista president Frederic Roche said: “This acquisition marks three important stages for Kallista Energy: the deployment of our activities in Germany, our diversification into solar and the consolidation of our activities in France.

“These additional 180MW will allow us to generate even more economies of scale to provide the most competitive renewable electricity possible.

“With the support of its institutional shareholders, Kallista Energy will continue to develop in Europe to accelerate the transition to renewable energies and electric mobility.

“We are very happy to conclude this transaction with DIF and we would like to thank their entire team for the relationship of trust in which our discussions took place.”
