South Korean renewables player Hanwa Solutions has reorganised its business with a strategic focus on investing in wind, solar as well as green hydrogen capabilities.
The company said it is open to hiring local and foreign talent to strengthen its research and development capabilities in these areas, within its global Green Energy Solution (GES) division, which is responsible for renewable energy projects.
The reorganisation includes integrating the engineering, procurement and construction and the project finance capabilities within the company’s various business units into the GES division.
The expanded GES division will be chaired by Shin Dong-jin, managing director of Hanhwa Engineering & Construction.
Hanwha Solutions has also set up a research centre for green hydrogen.
Hanwa Solutions said it plans to employ more than 250 staff in South Korea and abroad in 2021 in its solar photovoltaic and green hydrogen businesses alone, including R&D personnel in the fields of ferrovskite tandem cells, hydrogen high-pressure tanks, and hydrolysing.
