The Renewables Consulting Group (RCG) and Aege Energy are joining forces and will now go to market as RCG Nordic, building on the success of an existing close working relationship.
The two companies had signed a memorandum of understanding establishing the business alliance in July and have now inked a joint venture agreement.
RCG Nordic will be headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and will provide integrated market intelligence, management consulting and technical advisory services for the renewable energy sectors in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
The JV will also have a global scope and reach, RCG Nordic said.
RCG chief strategy officer Dan Pearson will chair RCG Nordic and Aege Energy’s Tor Inge Vevatne (pictured) will serve as the joint venture’s general manager.
The JV will focus its business development and operations on both onshore and offshore renewable energy.
To support maritime and offshore energy clients, the company will have a strong presence in Bergen.
Pearson said: “RCG Nordic will be a leader in renewable energy advisory in the region and presents significant opportunities to provide clients with an enhanced value proposition.
“The combined attributes of RCG and Aege Energy answer the growing demands of clients in the region to support complex renewable energy assignments.”
Vevatne said: “We look forward to growing the combined business, with a commitment to serving clients in the region and exceeding their expectations to deliver material results.
“The team has already secured substantial new engagements. Our mission is to be the number one renewables advisory firm in the Nordics.”
