Vestas has received an 8MW turbine order in the US for an unnamed client and project.
The manufacturer said the deal is for 4MW platform turbine components that qualify for the 60% production tax credit (PTC) value.

Vestas said the components will enable future wind energy projects that complete construction by the end of 2024.
The company added that the PTC has resulted billions of dollars in wind energy investment in the US.
This includes the expansion in domestic manufacturing and supply chain, construction, transportation, tax revenue to local communities, as well as the addition of tens of thousands of jobs across the wind value chain, Vestas said.
