Global investor Actis has signed a 550MW solar asset management contract with Wise Energy in India.
Wise Energy will provide comprehensive asset management services for four solar plants that Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund (ALLIF) recently bought.
The services Wise Energy will provide span financial, commercial and technical management for the plants located in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
Wise Energy managing director Rebecca Carter said: “This agreement represents a major milestone for WiseEnergy.
“Not only does it increase our presence in India, one of our key growth markets, it also establishes our partnership with Actis.
“We are honoured that Actis chose Wise Energy to manage its newly acquired solar plants in India and are excited about the growth possibilities this brings for both parties in the future.
Wise Energy said it now manages over 1500 solar plants, totalling 2.2GW, across four different continents.
