Vestas has secured an agreement with Vena Energy to service the Gamesa turbines installed at the operator’s 54MW Pililla wind farm in the Philippines.
The agreement, with a five-year duration, is Vestas’ first full scope multi-brand service deal in the country.
The company already services 3.6GW of Gamesa turbines globally, including Taiwan.
Pililla, located 50km from Manila, was commissioned in 2015 and comprises 27 Gamesa G90-2.0MW turbines.
Vena Energy Philippines head Samrinder Nehria said: “This agreement highlights our commitment to the long-term asset life extension of our projects and ensures that the Pililla Wind Project continues to contribute to the livelihood of our host communities, while enhancing the efficiency and profitability of our project in the Philippines.”
Vestas services more than 8GW of non-Vestas turbines worldwide.
