Enel Green Power Espana has begun building a 21MW wind project in Spain.
The €20m wind farm will be constructed in the Teruel and Zaragoza provinces.
The facility will comprise 3.55MW turbines and is expected to enter operation before the end of the year.
In 2019 Enel Green Power Espana connected thirteen wind farms in Aragon, located in the Teruel and Zaragoza provinces, totalling 424MW.
The latest project will support parent company Endesa in its goal of 10.2GW of installed renewable capacity by 2022, up from 7.4GW in 2019, for a total investment of around €3.8bn.
Endesa uses local labour, as well as locally hiring catering services and workers’ accommodation, for renewables projects it is building, including the 21MW wind farm.
The company manages more than 7176MW of renewable capacity in Spain, mainly hydropower, with the rest comprising wind (2036MW), solar (339MW), mini-hydro (79MW) and other renewable energy sources (14MW).
