ABB has won a digital services contract worth over €10m to provide an IT system for TenneT’s 900MW DolWin5 offshore wind grid hub in the German North Sea.
The Swiss power company said it will provide “comprehensive system for IT infrastructure, OT security, plant-wide condition monitoring, SCADA and remote access services” for the platform.
The contract was placed by the Aibel Keppel consortium, which is building the transmission hub that is scheduled to go live in 2024.
“This order enables ABB to leverage its expertise in remote, unmanned operations and advanced digital services with the shift to a more diversified energy mix,” said ABB Norway managing director Per Erik Holsten.
