The Carbon Trust has opened four tenders covering several aspects of floating offshore wind and one for a study of the array cable pipe concept installed at the Nissum Bredning project off Denmark.
The four floating wind tenders are part of the Trust’s Floating Wind Joint Industry Project and cover numerical modelling guidelines and standards, and studies of floating wind yield, analysis of ways to improve predicted failure rates of turbines and accessibility and availability of floating wind farms.
The deadline to apply for the four tenders is 20 March.
The Nissum Bredning study, which is part of the Offshore Wind Accelerator initiative, aims to evaluate and assess the ability of the pipe concept to reduce cable costs, installation times and failure risks.
Interested parties have until 19 February to apply.
