The first prototype of the LCC140, with Enercon’s modifications, is currently being built in Barneveld, Netherlands.

The initial tests are scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.
With Lagerwey, Enercon has developed a new holding concept in which the LCC140 climbing crane encloses a modular steel tower and is also able to rise to a hub height of 180 metres.
The new holding concept not only reduces costs but also allows the crane to lift weights of up to 140 tonnes.
