It will form part of the V150-5.6MW prototype machine, Vestas said.
The company unveiled the new turbine model, which will be available in V150 and V162 variants, in January.
Later in the year, Vestas announced that the EnVentus platform would also include a V138-3MW unit.
The company received its first order for the V162-5.6MW machine in June for a 151MW wind farm being developed by TuuliWatti in Finland.
In September, Notus Energy Plan ordered V150-5.6MW hardware for a project in Germany.
