Vestas has won a deal to supply turbines to three Akuo Energy-developed wind farms in Poland totalling 132MW.
The Danish manufacturer will deliver 19 V136-3.45MW units and one V126-3.3MW machine for the Wielowies project in the south of the country.
The EP 44 and Gniew wind farms, both in the north, will feature 22 and 11 V110-2.0MW turbines, respectively.
All three projects will comprise tailored solutions including site-specific rotor sizes, ratings and hub heights to cater for specific site and transportation constraints, said Vestas.
Contracts include supply, installation and commissioning as well as 15-year management service agreements.
Deliveries are to begin in the third quarter of next year and commissioning is planned by the end of 2020.
Akuo chief executive Eric Scotto said: “We fully trust in Vestas’ capability to execute those projects within allocated the time schedule and budget, to make these projects a common new success in wind energy.”
Vestas central Europe president Nils de Baar added: “This order, from our valued, long-term partner Akuo Energy, once again underlines our ability to leverage our extensive expertise across the value chain to deliver a solution that ensures clean energy at the lowest cost of energy to the Polish energy consumers.”
