PNE Group has acquired Rope Access Solutions in Bremen, Germany, to expand its wind farm management business.
Energy Consult, which is part of the PNE Group, acquired Rope Access Solutions and has integrated it into its wholly owned subsidiary MEB Safety Services.
Rope Access Solutions provides wind turbine rotor blade and tower maintenance and inspection services and related training in addition to services in other industrial sectors for work at heights and in depths.
Energy Consult took over MEB Safety Services in 2018 and is a service provider for various safety systems in wind power turbines with a focus on operating equipment tests, obstruction marking as well as fire alarm and extinguishing systems.
Rope Access Solutions and MEB Safety Services will be maintained as brands within PNE Group.
Energy Consult managing director Henning Wegner said: “This business segment is a perfect addition to the services of MEB and Energy Consult.
“It will enable us in future to carry out tests and work on towers and rotor blades independently and to train our internal and external specialist workers.”
