Atos and Meteo-France have joined forces to launch a platform dedicated to forecasting renewable electricity production.
The new platform enables producers and aggregators of renewable electricity to predict the amount of resources available in order to anticipate the balance of renewables versus other resources in the energy system.
The new offering also enables producers and aggregators to integrate renewable energy into the French and the wider European electricity grid.
Meteo-France energy market director Valerie Mermoud said, “Scientific and technological excellence is at the heart of Meteo-France’s business, and this new collaboration with Atos, leader in digital transformation, demonstrates this.”
The platform uses machine learning algorithms to determine accurate forecasts, and provide clients with a “weather sensitivity” service.
