Jumbo heavy lift vessel Jubilee has arrived at Steelwind Nordenham’s Blexen terminal in Germany to pick up the first monopile foundations for the 640MW Yunlin offshore wind farm off Taiwan.
Jubilee has a tonnage of over 13,000 tonnes and a lifting capacity of 1800 tonnes.

Steelwind Nordenham is supplying 40 monopiles for the project, as well as 120 steel segments for Formosa Heavy Industries.
The latter will use the segments to fabricate a further 40 monopiles at Mailiao in Taiwan to satisfy localisation requirements for the project.
Yunlin will feature Siemens Gamesa 8.4MW turbines and is expected online in December 2021.
