EEW Special Pipe Constructions has received an order from Van Oord for 89 monopiles for the almost 383MW Fryslan nearshore wind farm at the IJsselmeer lake in the Netherlands.
More than 19,000 tonnes of steel will be processed for the order between January and September 2020, EEW said.

Windpark Fryslan is scheduled to be operational by 2021.
It is being built by the Zuiderzeewind consortium of Van Oord and Siemens Gamesa, with the latter’s 130.4.3MW turbines to feature at the project.
