The European Union-backed €13m Ocean DEMO programme for wave and tidal R&D is open for a second round of funding.
The project provides free access for device testing at four European test centres including EMEC in the UK, DMEC of the Netherlands, SEM-REV in France and Ireland’s SmartBay.
Technology developers can apply for support packages to test multi-device farms or single devices able to scale up to multi-device in the future.
The call for applications is open until 31 January 2020.
Preference will be given to technologies ready to test by spring 2020.
The Interreg North-West Europe-funded call was launched during the Ocean Energy Europe 2019 conference and exhibition in Dublin.
“Ocean DEMO will help companies scale up their technologies through demonstration whilst reducing technical risks and overall costs,” said Ocean Energy Europe chief executive Remi Gruet.
