Waves Group is providing offshore consultancy services on the construction of the 120MW Formosa 1 Phase 2 offshore wind farm off Taiwan.
The company is carrying out marine warranty survey work concerning the installation of foundations, infield cables, wind turbines and export cables.
The contract, which began in October 2018, will continue through to the end of 2019.
The project is expected to be fully operational in the coming months.
Located off the coast of Miaoli in north-west Taiwan, the Formosa 1 Phase 2 offshore wind farm is a being developed by a joint venture between Orsted (35%), JERA (32.5%), Macquarie Capital (25%) and Swancor (7.5%).
A total of 20 6MW turbines and two 4MW turbines will produce the wind farm’s output.
Waves Group has worked on several large-scale offshore wind farm projects within the UK and Europe, including Triton Knoll, Horns Rev 3, Galloper, Beatrice and Seamade.
