Amber Infrastructure, an affiliate of US outfit Hunt Companies, and Michigan-based Circle Power are teaming up to develop two 20MW wind farms in the Upper Peninsula region of Michigan.
The duo said the projects will each consist of four turbines on two separate sites and are expected to be operational in late 2021.
Hunt and Circle Power will each commit personnel, internal resources and development capital to the projects.
Circle Power said it has been engaging with local residents and stakeholders to secure the land, permits, grid interconnection and other requirements for the projects.
Amber Infrastructure’s Tom O’Shaughnessy said: “We are pleased to be working with such an experienced developer.
“Together, we are committed to ensuring these projects are delivered successfully and will contribute positively to the community and to the renewable energy generation capacity in the state of Michigan.”
Circle Power managing partner Jordan Roberts said: “We are pleased that a company with financial strength such as Hunt has partnered with us to deliver these projects to the Upper Peninsula.”
