Idemitsu Kosan acquired the project from GCL New Energy by investing in Solar Frontier Americas through its wholly-owned subsidiary RS Renewables KK.
Frontier is the second power plant asset in the company’s US independent power producer business, following a 210MW California solar acquisition in 2018.
Solar Frontier Americas will build the plant.
The asset will enter into a long-term power purchase agreement with Intermountain Rural Electric Association, in Colorado.
