Bibby HydroMap has chartered a vessel from SeaZip Offshore Service to carry out seismic surveys at the site of Vattenfall’s 750MW Hollandse Kust Zuid 1&2 offshore wind farm off the coast of the Netherlands.
The 42-metre DP1 ice class SeaZip Fix (pictured) will supplement the existing Bibby HydroMap fleet, the company said.
Bibby said the “acoustically quiet vessel is ideal for a range of tasks including geophysical surveys, UXO detection surveys, cable depth of burial surveys, benthic habitat surveys, geotechnical investigations and subsea ROV inspections”.
The vessel has accommodation for up to 21 people and also has an air conditioned gym, mess room for up to 10, office and online ROV room.
Bibby HydroMap chief executive Gary Collins said: “We are delighted to be chartering the SeaZip Fix for the package of work on Hollandse Kust Zuid 1&2 on behalf of our client Vattenfall and look forward to a successful project.”
