German turbine manufacturer Enercon has announced that one of its co-managing directors Simon Hermann Wobben has left the company at his own request.
Enercon said Wobben resigned to pursue “new professional challenges”.
It added that the company’s organisation will not be affected by the change, with Wobben’s current area of responsibility to be “restructured by late summer”.
For the time being, the other managing director Hans-Dieter Kettwig will carry out business for Enercon.
“The company is going to continue on its course that involves an increased focus on international markets and consistent development of new business segments as a supplement to the core business of WEC technology,” Enercon said.
It added that it would like “thank Wobben for his years of successful work and his commitment to the company, and wish him all the best in his future endeavours”.
