GE Renewable Energy is to provide turbines for the 220MW Potegowo wind farm in northern Poland.
The US manufacturer will supply 81 2MW units for the project, located in Slupsk County.
Potegowo will comprise four clusters, including the five-turbine Biecino, where hardware is currently being installed.
Thirteen turbines will feature at Karzcino, 20 at Gluszynko and 43 at Malechowo.
Hardware will be manufactured at GE’s plant in Salzbergen, Germany.
The deal, which included a five year service agreement, is the first between GE and developer Potegowo Mashav.
GE Europe onshore wind boss Peter Wells said: “We are proud to announce our first project with Potegowo Mashav and reiterate our commitment to bring sustainable green electrons to the Polish grid.”
Mashav Energia chief executive Tomer Eizenberg added: “This is a significant milestone in our wind farm investment program, having won the Polish government tender in November 2018 for the supply of 220 MW of wind generated energy to the Polish electricity network.”
Potegowo is backed by finance from the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development.
No commissioning or delivery schedule was disclosed.
