Iberian energy supplier Repsol will develop two wind farms and a solar project with a combined installed capacity of 794MW, in Spain.
One wind project is in Zaragoza and the other is between Palencia and Valladolid, and the photovoltaic project is in Cadiz.
The new renewable projects already have land secured as well as a guaranteed connection to the electricity transport network.
The Delta wind farm in Zaragoza is 33MW while the other wind farm in between Palencia and Valladolid has a total installed capacity of 255MW and the solar farm is 204MW.
The facilities will start production in the next four years and will be managed by Repsol’s electricity and gas business.
Repsol has 2952MW of installed low emissions electricity generation capacity and planned projects amounting to 1083MW, including the two wind and the solar farms.
The rest is comprised of the Valdesolar PV project in Badajoz and the 25MW WindFloat offshore wind farm being developed off the northern coast of Portugal that will start operation before the end of the year.
