German transmission system operator (TSO) 50Hertz has issued a tender for a geotechnical investigation for a transformer platform in the Baltic Sea.
The scope of work, expected to last 10 months, will form part of the planning process for the offshore platform.
Interested parties have until 26 July to respond to the solicitation.
Elements in the tendered package of work include a ground and foundation report from a geotechnical expert.
A geotechnical investigation report, which presents the results of the geotechnical investigation, will form the basis of the ground and foundation documentation.
The geotechnical test results must meet the requirements of the approval guidelines and certification authorities.
The reference data of the applicant will be assessed on an overall basis and scored with points, with a maximum of 100 points will be awarded per applicant.
For applicants to be invited to submit a tender they must score a minimum score of 70 points.
50Hertz will ask the three applicants with the best scores to tender, while up to a maximum of six could be invited, if there are reasonable grounds to.
