Granada Handling has subcontracted Hutchinson Engineering to fabricate and provide protective coatings for 100-plus Davit crane assemblies for the 950MW Moray East offshore wind farm foundations and substations.
The first batch will be delivered this month with completion of the contract scheduled for February 2020.
Hutchinson Engineering managing director Dean Drinkwater said: “This component supply in close collaboration with Granada will give us a good production base for the coming year and the product range required fits well with our business.
“We have invested in additional machinery also to ensure successful project delivery and thereby help us secure similar future UK based work for our revamped production hall and in house paint facility.
“This follows our assistance on the Triton Knoll davit project for Granada which are also being presently painted at Hutchinsons’ in house coating facility to the highest offshore standards required.
“We are grateful to Granada for both awards and look forward to further supply chain opportunities with them.”
