Renewable asset manager CEE Group has acquired the Nonnweiler wind farm project in Saarland, Germany from Max Bogl.
The acquisition of the 16.5MW facility brings CEE’s total renewable capacity to approximately 710MW.
Nonnweiler consists of six GE 2.75-120 turbines, with hub heights of 139 metres, supported on Max Bogl hybrid towers.
Max Bogl also acted as general contractor on the project, installing the turbines with minimal forest clearance, using its rotating tower crane to reduce the clearance area required by more than one hectare.
CEE Operations will be responsible for commercial management of the wind farm, while Max Bogl Wind will supervise technical operations.
Nonnweiler is the second joint project for CEE and Max Bogl, following CEE’s acquisition of Asslar (pictured) wind farm in 2018.
CCE Group chief executive Detlef Schreiber said: “The acquisition of Nonnweiler wind farm is in line with our objectives of growing our core business in Germany and France.
“Going forward, we are excited to continue to explore partnerships for future opportunities as CEE Group expands into new continental European markets.”
