Bibby Marine Services has appointed Michael Martins as business development manager operating in conjunction with the Orbis Centre in Lowestoft.
Most recently Martins worked at Equinor where he had responsibility for contracts for crew transfer vessels and other boats serving offshore wind.
While at Equinor Martin participated in Equinor’s future wind projects worldwide.
Bibby Marine Services managing director Stephen Bolton (pictured) said: “Michael is a seasoned professional within the marine and offshore renewables sector, a highly unique combination.
“We therefore know Michael will directly contribute to the further exciting growth that we plan. This growth will deliver further vessels in Europe and other geographical territories and build on our strategy of supporting our customers by driving innovation and delivering simply the best customer service”.
Bibby Marine Services is part of Bibby Line Group, which owns the WaveMaster1 vessel.
In late 2017, Bibby Marine Services was awarded a 10-year charter serving Siemens Gamesa for ENBW’s HoHe See and Albatross offshore wind farms in the North Sea, which will use the Bibby WaveMaster Horizon, a sister ship to the Bibby WaveMaster1, currently being built by Damen Shipyards Galati.
