Alaskan marine surveyor TerraSond is undertaking surveys to support future offshore wind projects off the US eastern seaboard.
TerraSond’s chartered vessel Gerry Bordelon is carrying out the high resolution geophysical and unexploded ordinance surveys.
To support its work the company is using equipment supplied by Louisiana-based Okeanus, which includes winches and towing systems onboard the Gerry Bordelon.
Okeanus managing director Benton LeBlanc said: “TerraSond has been an absolute pleasure to work with, and we’re looking forward to a productive long-term relationship.”
Okeanus business includes turnkey provision of marine rental equipment.
TerraSond senior account manager Steve MacDonald said: “Okeanus and their team played a large part in the quick and efficient mobilisation of the geophysical survey suite.
Their equipment is well-built to withstand the offshore environment and these kind of survey operations and the support we received from Okeanus on this long-term deployment has made for a great team experience.”
