A new marine services company Seabed and Offshore Solutions has been established in the UK based at the OrbisEnergy renewables hub in Lowestoft, Suffolk.
Seabed and Offshore Solutions is led by managing director Martin Sisley (pictured), who previously held senior positions at James Fisher Marine Services, Red7Offshore and Ocean Installer.
It has been formed through a collaboration of Sisley, offshore energy consultancy Nautilus Associates and specialist investors.
The company will offer services across the life-cycle of an offshore energy project, including seabed rectification, UXO assessment, removal and detonation, boulder clearance, asset decommissioning and condition reporting.
It will also provide client representation, repairs, scour prevention, EOD analysis, cable stabilisation, free span corrections, ROV operations, crossing design and installation and supply and installation of tyre, concrete, frond and hybrid mattresses.
Sisley said: “We are thrilled to be launching Seabed Solutions after several months of developing the business concept.
“We know from discussions across the industry that there is a major gap in the seabed market for a solutions-focussed provider that really delivers what clients need.
“Seabed Solutions will do things a little differently. We are offering our clients an impartial and independent assessment of their problem, developing and implementing innovative and cost-effective solutions.”
Nautilus managing director Johnathan Reynolds said: “We are delighted to be launching Seabed Solutions at such an exciting time for the offshore energy industries, with some of the world’s largest offshore renewables projects operating under development immediately off the UK coast.”
