Danish outfit Maersk Supply Service has appointed Lars Blicher as director of offshore wind.
The company said Blicher (pictured) has in-depth insight about the offshore wind industry, having founded Swire Blue Ocean.

Blicher said: “Offshore wind has grown rapidly over the last 10 years. Not only have turbines grown in size, the market has expanded to several other places around the world like Asia and the US.
“Installation of foundations and turbines have become more industrialised but there is still room for improvement to help bring down the levelised cost of energy.
“I look forward to working for Maersk Supply Service to bring new products and services to the offshore wind market.”
