A Lagerwey climbing crane is being installed on a wind turbine tower on the plaza outside the WindEnergy Hamburg trade fair.
The crane is 55 metres tall and weighs 138.5 tonnes. Together with the tower the crane is the largest exhibit ever shown at the Hamburg Messe and Congress site.

Work to install the crane will continue into the weekend, ahead of the fair’s opening on 25 September.
WindEnergy Hamburg will run until 28 September and will have over 1400 companies exhibiting from 40 countries.
