James Fisher Marine Services has opened a new base in Hamburg, Germany, as part of global growth plans.
“Hamburg is one of the largest commercial ports in Europe and will provide convenient access to a number of key locations, while it will also help foster stronger connections with both existing and potential clients in the region, being the shore-base for most of the major North Sea wind farm developers,” James Fisher said.
James Fisher Marine Services director, strategy and business development Martin Dronfield said: “Our new base in Hamburg represents an important extension of our activities in the UK and will increase our overall presence in Germany, an important hub for offshore wind which is a strategically important market for us.”
The company added that the decision to open the Hamburg base is a logical step following acquisitions of Rotos360 and EDS HV.
