EDF Renewables secured power purchase agreements for two wind farms totalling 276MW in the latest Brazilian energy auction.
One project is an 147MW extension to the 114MW Folha Larga wind farm some 350km north-west from Salvador, while the other will add an additional 129MW to the 183MW Ventos da Bahia project.
The winning facilities secured 20-year power purchase agreements and are scheduled for commissioning in 2024.
EDF Renewables said it has almost 1GW of wind and solar projects under construction and in operation in Brazil.
