EDP Renewables North America is to sell 50MW of electricity from the under development Broadlands wind farm in Illinois to an unnamed company in the energy sector.
The deal brings the contracted capacity to be delivered from Broadlands, which will come online next year, to 200MW.
Earlier this year, Wabash Valley Power Association agreed to buy 100MW under a 20-year deal, and Commercial & Industrial secured 50MW over 15 years from Broadlands.
EDPR said the latest power purchase agreement brings the total wind power contracted in the US to 2.2GW for projects to be installed between 2016 and 2020.
Globally, the company has contracted more than 3.8GW of wind energy sales.
