The European Commission, under EU State aid rules, has approved three Danish renewable energy schemes, worth a total of €144m.
The plans support the production of electricity through wind and solar both this year and next.
The first scheme – worth €112m – involves a multi-technology tender for onshore and offshore wind turbines and solar installations.
The second is a €27m onshore aid scheme for test and demonstration projects for large wind turbines.
The third initiative is a transitional aid scheme for onshore wind, worth €5m.
The aid for the three schemes will be granted for a period of 20 years from the time of the connection to the grid.
Denmark has a goal becoming independent from fossil fuels by 2050.
