TerraForm Power has selected GE Renewable Energy to provide a range of services for its North American wind fleet of more than 900 turbines with capacity of 1.6GW.
TerraForm seeks to improve and optimise turbine performance through the service agreement.
GE will take on the remote management of TerraForm’s projects, centralising the monitoring of the fleet across multiple manufacturer and turbine types while providing compliance services.
The agreement also includes securing NERC regulatory certification and blade repairs and extended coverage, TerraForm said.
GE onshore wind America leader Vikas Anand said: “This agreement with TerraForm is a great example of how we can combine GE’s unmatched onshore equipment and services experiences to create the right solutions for our customers.
“By working closely with TerraForm, we are creating an entirely new level of value for their fleet.”
