European Energy has chosen GE Renewable Energy as turbine supplier for its 53.2MW Zinkgruvan wind farm, which lies 70km north of Linköping in Sweden.
The project, construction of which has begun, will feature 14 turbines with 3.8MW capacity, rotor size of 137 metres and a hub height of 110 metres.
The wind farm is expected to be completed in 2019, European Energy said.
European Energy chief executive Knud Erik Andersen said: “Zinkgruvan is our second project in Sweden, where we have a significant pipeline of projects and for the first time we have chosen GE Renewable Energy as turbine supplier.
“We are excited about building a project of this size and we are also looking forward to working with GE Renewable Energy.
“The GE 3MW-platform is an attractive option, both technically and commercially.”
