MHI Vestas has signed a conditional agreement for the supply of turbines to an undisclosed offshore wind project.
Partner company Vestas, which made the announcement, said the deal is not “materially above” its “announcement threshold” for projects of 800MW.
“The project is to be delivered by MHI Vestas Offshore Wind and will not enter into the order backlog of Vestas Wind Systems A/S,” said the latter.
“If and when the project translates into a firm and unconditional order, Vestas Wind Systems A/S will disclose a company announcement about this.”
MHI Vestas declined to provide further details.
