Trina Solar is to supply solar modules totalling 167MW to ACS Group subsidiary Cobra for the expansion of a photovoltaic plant to 500MW in Murcia, Spain.
Delivery of the 496,000 units will take place between the third quarter of this year and first one of 2019.
The project is expected to be operational by the end of next year.
Trina Solar European module business unit head Gonzalo de la Vina said: “We are very excited to see this impressive photovoltaic project grow with Trina Solar modules.
“We are confident that our commercial relationship with Cobra has a great future, despite the paralysis of recent years in the Spanish photovoltaic market, this project shows that the sun shines again in the country because the technology of photovoltaic solar energy is already competitive without subsidies.”
