Senvion is to supply turbines totalling 204.7MW to GPG and Grupo Ibereolica Renovables for the Cabo Leones 2 wind farm in Chile.
The project, which will be located in the Atacama region, will feature 89 Senvion 2.3M130 machines.
Senvion will also service the hardware.
Installation in Huasco province is planned to start in the first quarter of 2020, with completion of the project before the end of that year, Senvion said.
Senvion chief executive Manav Sharma said: “We are very excited to win our first contract with the wind industry leaders GPG and Grupo Ibereolica Renovables.
“The order win highlights the strength of our new product 2.3M130 and its ability to provide a competitive LCoE for the benefit of our clients.”
Ibereolica Cabo Leones 2 president Gregorio Alvarez said: “We are very pleased with the technological effort made by the German group Senvion, for the manufacture of a new model of wind turbine that substantially improves the production of renewable energy adapted to the location of the Cabo Leones 2 wind farm.”
