A variety of smart energy solutions aiming to reduce wind turbine lifecycle costs will be showcased at the WindEnergy 2018 conference and exhibition in Hamburg in September.
Bachmann Monitoring will display a new blade unbalance calculator and a condition monitoring system plug-in, while Mita-Technik will highlight technology that monitors and manages blades movement and loads with IPC-based solutions.
ZF Windpower and Winergy will provide information on advances in intelligent gearbox development, with Chinese gearbox supplier NGC Group showcasing its own intelligent gearbox technology.
Energy storage will also be highlighted at the event, which will cover a range of technologies from lithium-ion to hydroredox fluid batteries as well as compressed-air, power-to-gas, power-to-liquid and Siemens Gamesa technology using rocks to store energy.
Attendees will also have the chance to find out about Enercon’s bi-directional E-Storage 2300 power conversion solution that aims to enable rapid energy feed-in and release from battery storage systems.
WindEnergy 2018 will run from 25-28 September at the Hamburg Messe und Congress.
