Deutsche Windtechnik has signed a 15-year full service contract with MEAG for six Siemens Gamesa 2.3-101 turbines at unspecified wind farms in Sweden.
The O&M outfit and MEAG have previously worked together on wind turbine maintenance in Germany.
Deutsche Windtechnik will establish a new service station with local technicians for Siemens Gamesa turbines near the wind farms, it said.
Deutsche Windtechnik managing director in Sweden Linus Sturesson said: “This contract provides a perfect foundation for growth in this geographic area. We see significant opportunities for our local subsidiary.”
