TUV SUD is providing support during the development and construction of Prime Capital’s 281.4MW Nordlicht wind farm in Norway.
Construction of the 67 Siemens Gamesa SWT-DD-130 4.2MW turbines is underway at the project, which is located near Tromso.
Nordlicht, which means northern lights, is scheduled to come online in 2019.
TUV SUD has provided support services for the investment and realisation process of the wind farm since late 2016.
The work covered technical aspects of due diligence, the review and negotiation of project contracts, project management during the negotiation and financing phases, tendering of operations management, supporting the review carried out by the financing bank and preparation of reports on project potential and energy yield prediction.
TUV SUD will also support the project up to completion of the construction phase, including monitoring progress and quality and performance of acceptance testing of technical systems.
TUV SUD project manager for Nordlicht Andreas Schmid said: “We are very pleased that Prime Capital has placed its trust in us by awarding us the contract for this challenging project.
“As owner’s representative, we can contribute the full scope of our know-how and extensive experience to the successful realisation of the Nordlicht project.”
