The Scottish Government has held “senior level” meetings in a bid to save troubled fabricator BiFab.
Energy minister Paul Wheelhouse said Holyrood is “determined to fully explore all options to save” the Scottish company.
Talks were attended by BiFab, Seaway Heavy Lifting, SSE, Siemens, Scottish Enterprise and “other partners”, Wheelhouse said.
“Ministers from both governments are engaged in discussions about how we can work together to achieve a successful outcome for the company and all the staff.”
The Scottish Government is “doing what we can” to secure a “positive resolution” and will “provide more clarity” in the “near future”, he added.
BiFab is facing administration over “critical” cash flow problems connected to a contract it is working on the fabricate 26 jacket foundations for SHL for the 588MW Beatrice wind farm in the Moray Firth.
SHL said on Tuesday night that it welcomes the “intervention” of Holyrood and is “working extremely hard to find ways of supporting BiFab”.
