VBMS has signed a preferred bidder agreement to supply and install array cables at the 950MW Moray 1 offshore wind farm located off northern Scotland.
The work would include the supply, installation, burial, termination and testing of approximately one hundred 66kV cables.
The work would start at the beginning of the next decade, VBMS said.
The contract award is subject to financial close, which is expected to take place in the second half of 2018.
Moray 1 is a joint development between EDP Renewables (77%) and Engie (23%).
It is one of three offshore projects to be awarded a Contract for Difference in the UK’s second auction round.
