Enercon is launching its new 3MW turbines in the Canadian wind market.
The 3.5MW E-126 EP3 and E-138 EP3 models are scheduled to go into production in late 2018 and early 2019.
The E-126 EP3 will have a rotor diameter of 127 metres and is being designed for sites with moderate wind conditions in Class IIA.
The E-138 EP3 will have 138-metre rotors and is intended for low-wind sites in Class IIIA.
Both will be available with a choice of hybrid or tubular steel towers with hub heights ranging from 81 to 160 metres.
