Dong Energy has hired Con4Mare as marine warranty surveyor for foundation transport and installation at the 1.2GW Hornsea 1 offshore wind farm off the east coast of Yorkshire in the UK.
The Danes will begin installing monopiles and transition pieces at the project next year.
German fabricator EEW is manufacturing the 174 monopolies
Hornsea 1 will feature 174 Siemens 7MW wind turbines to be installed by A2Sea and Fred Olsen from spring 2019.
