Offshore towers rolling in Scotland

CS Wind UK started manufacturing towers this week for offshore wind turbines at its facility at Machrihanish in Scotland.

Danish energy giant Dong Energy supported investment in the new factory, which is the first UK facility to manufacture towers for the offshore wind market.

Dong has “preferred access rights” to wind turbine towers built at the new plant. 

In a separate deal, Siemens awarded CS Wind UK “preferred supplier status” for multiple offshore projects.
