The first of five 6MW Siemens Gamesa floating turbines for the 30MW Hywind Scotland offshore wind demonstration scheme has arrived at the project site 25km off the coast of Peterhead.
A Statoil spokesman said the turbine had reached its destination having departed the Norwegian port of Stord on 19 July.
The wind farm is scheduled to be fully operational in the fourth quarter of this year.
Statoil and Masdar are developing the Hywind Scotland project.
